early-but

bob-demarcoAfter picking up a guitar at age 6, the foundation to Bob DeMarco’s life seemed to paved out in front of him. By the age of fourteen he was already playing professionally in Rhode Island and Connecticut. He was honored with awards for his musical talents in both junior and high school and at the age of seventeen he was in the studio for his first recording session.

Wanting to study music further Bob attended the Musicians institute in Hollywood, CA. After graduation he went to work for guitar amp giant, Mesa Boogie consulting for artists such as; Don Henley, Kenny Loggins, Yes, John Fogerty, Rick Springfield and many more.

Between 1986-1990 Bob worked as an independent session guitarist, songwriter and music producer. Building his own home studio from the ground up he was able to keep up with the demand of projects coming his way. Scoring music for documentaries, independent films and television projects – including Programming and writing music for the The New Mickey Mouse Club (The seasons with Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, and Justin Timberlake), kept him very busy.

Bob began composing music for Paramount Domestic Television in 1994 as one of three partners in “Planet One Productions”. They were initially hired to contribute to the creation of a music library for the TV program “Hard Copy”.

Committed to Exceeding the Expectations of our Clients!

From 1996 to 2001, “Planet One Productions” expanded it’s role composing music for other various Paramount shows (“Entertainment Tonight”, Real TV”, “Howie Mandel Show”, etc.)

In addition to the work with Paramount, “Planet One Productions” contributed thousands of pieces of music to the TelePictures music library (“Ellen”, “Extra”, “The Bachelor”, “The Tyra Banks Show”, “TMZ”). This included the theme to the TV program “Extra”.

At the end of 2001, “Planet One Productions” disbanded. Bob and former partner, Micheal Egizi continued writing for Paramount (now CBS Television). Bob and Michael, along with a team of composers, continued to generate custom libraries for shows such as; “Entertainment Tonight”, “Dr. Phil”, “Rachael Ray”, and “The Insider”.

All of the music written since 1994 (over 18,000 thousand pieces) has now been compiled to form the “CBS Television Music Library”. This library services all CBS related productions including; “CSI: Crime Scene

Investigation”, “Inside Edition”, “Swift Justice with Nancy Grace”, “The Talk” and many more well known shows).

By the end of 2010, Bob would end up being part of a team responsible for more hours of TV music than any other individual or company.

In 2011, after 16 1/2 years, Bob realized that it was time to seek out new,  challenging opportunities. He began focusing on further developing DeMarco Productions as well as his work through his non profit organization “Raise Hope”- focusing on Multi-media educational materials for children with Autism.

With a 6,000 square foot state of the art multi media facility under construction, DeMarco Productions and Raise Hope will continue to produce work of the highest caliber.

“Working with Bob DeMarco completely transformed me as an artist. More than just a producer, more than just an arranger, and more than just a guitar player, he sees the big picture in every song, making it the best it can possibly be.”
